Q: My timing belt needed replacing.. It's in the auto shop and it still wont start what could it be

My car stopped in the middle of the street just shut off.. I got it checked on the street I was told timing belt. I had it towed to the auto shop and they called and said 300 tomorrow come get it.. Your car ready.. I get there and they said it wasn't a gurentee the car would start after new belt and they wasn't ready... Now I'm confused... 2 days later no call so I call and they saying the car won't start they're gonna try something else give them another day... It's been 5 days already and I just want my car in running condition.. So I'm asking why is it at triangle auto one of the best and it still won't start... Help
