Q: My temp goes up when idling, not close to red area but higher then usual, and then back to normal range when driving.

asked by on July 14, 2017

My temperature gauge goes up to about 1/2 way to the red area which is higher then usual when I am stopped or city driving. When I'm on the highway it goes back down to normal range. I have coolant. Is this the radiator? The fan? Does running the AC have anything to do with this?

My car has 239000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.
