Q: My Suzuki dies under 3000 RPMS while driving

asked by on February 10, 2017

While my Esteem is motionless the motor freely revs to 5000. You can’t even tell anything is wrong. But from 1600 to 2600 rpms in 2nd and 3rd gear the motor dies. If you get it above 2600 it has more power than ever and runs like a dream all day long where it’s flat. But on a hill or changing it down you need to keep it above 3000 or it will die. My car is a manual with a new air filter, new fuel filter and new plugs. Do you know what might be causing it to croak?
