Q: My machanic quoted me a price but iwant to know is that for service or just an inspection?

Ok well I contacted my machanic and explained I have exhaust fumes coming in my car, they quoted me a price of 70 dollars for an inspection, my question is are they going to fix the problem or is the 70 dollars just for them to inspect my car?

My car has 177000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
