Q: My f150 in reverse looses power going up my drive way in reverse. Like it gets really heavy what can be the proble

When I put it in reverse it goes smooth but when I'm going up my driveway in reverse it gets heavy like it dosent have enough power. My driveway ain't that steep. The transmission shifts good does not slip or anything then I get the little wrench light and check engine. I checked the code and it gave me a p2106. Can that be the cause of not enough power in reverse. If going in reverse where is flat it's good in forward it drive perfect.

My car has 126000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

It's hard to tell without doing some further testing. This sounds like a misfire. A misfire (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/engine-is-misfiring-inspection) can be caused by several components. It would explain the "limp mode", the shaking (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/car-is-shaking-or-vibrating-inspection), and the Check Engine Light (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/check-engine-light-is-on-inspection).
