Q: My engine and coolant

asked by on December 23, 2017

I was driving from school and i aporoched a stoplight. The stop light turns green and i try to go but the car was off so i turned it back on and kept going. The next stop light i was approching i was slowing down then when i slowed down the car shut off while i was slowing down so i was rolling and pulled over. I try to turn the car back on no luck. I try again. The car turns on but there is a knocking sound i had to drive it home on a knocking sound. My house wasent that far. Luckily i got to my house in time but as soon as i got there the car made a major cloud of steam from under the hood and coolant from the radiator splashed all over the engine. Then coolant splashed out from under the car leaving me with no coolant. I put fluid in the car and turn it on and the radiator smokes and i hear a knocking sound. I pushed my car in a parking spot and the next day checked the oil and the dip stick is dryer than the desert

My car has 154000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.
