Q: My care starts but has zero accelarating

asked by on January 18, 2017

HI, my car battery discharged. When I boosted it, the cat starts instantly but had no acceleration (zero). I have a throttle light on mu dashbord but by OBD II cant read it, it says no fault code.

recently, I have changed the throttle body with no succes. I wonder if it is not the pedal sensor or the ECM, but I dont know the test procedure. Could you help me solve this, please ?

Window will not close
Hello. It sounds like the window motor failed. It is much easier for a failing motor to lower and window and not be able to close it. I would typically remove the door panel and first check the voltage at...
Truck stalls when stopping ocassionally. 2001 Mazda B4000
Hello. There could be a problem with the throttle position sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/throttle-position-sensor-replacement) or the idle air control valve (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/idle-control-valve-replacement). Both of these sensors help control proper air-fuel mixture and engine idle. Sometimes carbon builds up and clogs the idle air...
I changed my oil pump and now when I try to start it it only clicks once
Unfortunately you have already damaged the motor running the engine until it dies when it lost oil pressure. The bearings for the crankshaft (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/crankshaft-position-sensor-replacement) and camshaft (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/camshaft-position-sensor-replacement) have been starved of oil and seized the engine. You will need to...
My brake light and ABS light came on today while driving home from work I checked it out put some fluid in it
Hello. Adding brake fluid to the system was a great idea. Although it did not turn off the ABS light (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/abs-light-is-on-inspection), you can use that to your advantage. The light means the computer is detecting a problem, and you can...
How quickly should I take my car to the shop? It says service ecm. How much does this usually cost?

The problem sounds like you have an exhaust problem. You may have a broken pipe or bad convertor and is rattling in the exhaust. Have a mechanic like one from YourMechanic inspect and diagnose the problem for you.
