Q: My car won't start. But it clicks when I turn the key. Tried jump starting the car and it still wouldn't start. Need advice please
When I got my car at a used car dealership. I noticed when I would by in a complete stop. It would randomly rev up on it's own. I thought nothing of it. Well one day when I was coming home from grocery shopping I stopped right outside the house and it would randomly rev up. But this time it wasn't just one time it would happen 3 or 4 times. So I turned my car off. And when I did. Smoke came. From under the hood for about 30 seconds. And it smelt like something had burnt. My girlfriend even thought so. But when I would try to start it. It wouldn't start up. It would just click so I thought maybe if I gave it a jump it would start. I had 2 different friends try to jump it even at high rpm and it wouldn't start up. It would just click. The lights and radio still work. Need advice on what the problem is most likely to be and how mucj would it be to fix. Please and thank you so much
