Q: My car will not start or turn over.

asked by on January 09, 2017

About 3 weeks ago, my car wouldn't start. It would make sounds like it was trying to turn over, "Ch ch ch ch." It would take forever to jump. Finally took it to Autozone. They said the battery was corroded and installed a new battery. With the new battery in place, they checked the alternator and the starter, both are good. Just a week later the van starts having a hard time accelerating. I go get the oil changed and some Lucas added to it. Problem solved. The person I got the van from said it does that occasionally because the radiator had been punctured by a tree awhile back. Now this morning my van won't start. At first, the lights would come on, but now when I try to start they won't even do that. The van won't lock, either. No sound. Help!

My car has 220000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
