Q: Q: My car is overheating

asked by on

We changed the thermostat, fixed the leak in the radiator, the car is still over heating but it seems to just be coming out of the over flow should I replace the water pump, flush it or both?

My car has 200000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

The cooling system caused the overheating and may have caused the engine to blow a head gasket. You will need to have the system pressure tested to see if there is a pressure loss to the head gasket. If no leaks are found then purge all air out of the system and run the engine to see if still over heats.
