Q: My car is making a noise since i had the water pump replaced and the needle is still going up. Why is it doing that?

My water pump and thermostat was replaced and now my car is making a noise, and the needle is going up. He put coolant in it and It's the 50/50. He didn't add water. Do I need to do that? Why is the needle still going up?
