Q: My car has been turning off randomly while I'm driving, it tends to happen mostly when I brake hard. it's happened random also.

When I brake too hard or sudden, my car just shuts down (the radio dies, the brakes, acceleration, and steering wheel lock). I took it to a shop and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it so I continued driving it. It's been happening again, however this time it happens randomly when I'm driving (not braking). I recently was driving to work and turning right when my wheel locked and I couldn't brake.. I put it in neutral and waited for my nerves to shake off before driving to work with my hazards. As I was driving to working I was braking lightly at a yellow light when the airbag light came on and my brakes were acting funky. The best I can describe is- It felt very jumpy and the brake wasn't Smooth. I know there's something wrong somewhere for this to continue happening, and by now I'm just afraid of driving my car. I'm talking it to another mechanic tomorrow but hopefully you guys can help me out also.
