Q: My car does not drive - 2007 Honda Fit

asked by on

it blinks drive

My car has 30000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hello - this behavior is the power control module (PCM) telling you there is a problem with the automatic transmission. Check the transmission fluid first of course, and if low, only add Honda Z1 fluid. If the fluid is not low, you will be in need of a transmission diagnosis for unknown problems (bad shift solenoid or something else). A code reader capable of interfacing with Honda PCMs will be needed. If you need assistance with this, I recommend having a certified mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, come to your location to determine why the car is not shifting into drive.

Q: My car jerks when putting it into drive and sometimes has to be revved up high before going into gear

The issue you're describing is typically an indicator of an internal transmission component failure or loss of hydraulic pressure inside the transmission. The change of the motor and transmission mounts probably did not hurt the Honda's ability to accelerate correctly....
