My car 2002 explorer was Making a grinding sound when I got over 30mph It's not the breaks but seems like my car was in wrong gear. My shifter seems like it doesn't out my car in correct gear cause sometimes I'll have it in drive but it will really be in neutral. I had to leave it on side of the road yesterday cause after the grinding noise I put it In park then put it back Into drive and took off and it grinded again and started to overheat like I was in 3rd gear rather than drive.
My car has 175000 miles.
