Q: My 78 malibu has high idle and wont idle down

I have 1978 malibu with 305 engine and 2 bbl carb.It has been sitting awhile so i wanted to get it back running I replaced eveything spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, water pump, fuel pump, thermostat, carb etc. Only problem is that when you crank the car it has really high idle and wont idle down at all I really need help
