Q: My 2011 hyundai elantra makes a loud humming sound when I accelerate past 40mph. The wheel bearings have been checked and found

asked by on September 23, 2017

My car makes a loud humming sound , on driver's side, when Im driving between 40 and 70 mph. I checked the tire (s) to see if it could be a problem with the wheel bearings but nothing is loose. The more I step on the gas the louder the noise. When I release the gas pedal, the humming sound goes gets quieter and soon disappears. What else could it be?

My car has 96000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
