My 2009 Aveo5 manual has just developed a sticky clutch pedal where is will stick down on the floor. Sometimes when I pull the pedal back up by hooking with my foot it still will not be in gear, but sometimes is will be. There all cases there is not any grinding of gears when I do get it in gear. It has always shifted very smoothly and it still does.
I took it to a local mechanic and they, with very little if any inspection, told me I need to replace the master cylinder, slave cylinder, clutch disk, release bearing and pressure plate. If the value of this car was worth a full system replacement, I would do that, but it's high millage and I just want to replace the minimum I can at this point.
Here are my questions: 1. Do you have any suggestions? 2. Can you come and diagnose it for a small fee? Can't find that service on your very contrary website.
Thanks
