Q: My 2005 xc90 v8 just chugged as I pressed on the gas...eventually stopped an I had to restart. Is this a fuel pump problem?

After driving on freeway for an hour, I was I a 40mph zone. Vehicle all of a sudden began sputtering. I pressed on the gas and the vehicle sputtered more and stopped altogether. I put in neutral, started....continued on ....it happened a second time. Got vehicle home and turned off Fuel pup?
