Q: maf have to put back in

asked by on

which way does the arrow point

My car has 180520 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hello. When installing the mass air flow sensor the arrow needs to point toward the engine. This is an indication of the direction of air flow. If it is not installed like that then it will not read correctly. If it does not work when installed correctly then the MAF sensor may be faulty. If you need help with this, a professional, such as one from YourMechanic, can install your MAF sensor for you so that you can be sure it is done correctly.
