Q: low fan sound at fuel filler neck when van is off killing th battery over night

asked by on February 10, 2018

Every so often i wake up to a dead battery, this has been looked at after a boost and runs it is fine. We noticed this only happens when we hear a faint fan or something running in behind the fuel filler pipe. It is not the fuel pump typical noise it is much more faint. Yesterday it happened after we filled up with gas. got home and within an hr we heard this noise, normally we start it and drive it and return home its fine but last night we left it and sure enough it is dead
