Q: Loud noises when engine is cold

asked by on

I hear a loud noise while driving in lower gears and the engine is cold.

It is hard for me to determine the cause without a description of the sound, but engine mounts are a common issue on your vehicle and when bad, cause a heavy vibration sound especially at idle when the engine is cold. Trust the help of a qualified technician in your area such as one from YourMechanic, to help you pinpoint the cause and make necessary repairs to your engine.
