Question about oil leak filter base
I think what you might be referring to is an oil filter adaptor that is leaking. The oil filter adaptor will bolt on to the engine block and the oil filter will screw on to the adaptor allowing the oil to...
Temperature gauge is only reading about half way to 210.
It sounds like the coolant thermostat is stuck open and allowing the coolant to flow freely through the system. This will keep the engine temperature well below operating temperatures. As for the transmission, I would check the fluid level and...
Kia Rio cranks but stutters, revs high but won't accelerate

My battery light came on its making a real bad whinning noise
Charging system output should be verified against factory specifications as the alternator may have failed which would account for both the noise and the battery warning light. It is also possible that the noise, and a charging failure, could be...
Car overheated then died now won't start
Hi There, Depending on how long the engine overheated (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/car-is-overheating-inspection) for, this may suggest you have a blown head gasket. A blown head gasket may cause a number of different symptoms. Coolant in the engine oil, an engine misfire or...
My chimes only come on after I start my engine
Hi there. Alert chimes are triggered by sensors located on doors, seat belts and other devices that alert a driver that something is either open or not properly secured. To determine why they are not working correctly, have a mechanic...
