Q: Key struck

asked by on

I cannot lock my car since the key is getting stuck when I try to unlock it.

My car has 20 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

It sounds like you may have a damaged key or possibly a damaged internal locking mechanism in your door. This can happen when the tumblers inside the door lock fail o become worn out resulting in the edges of the key not sliding in properly. I would suggest having a professional from YourMechanic come to your location to take a look at your vehicle.
