I read that the scraping noise can be fixed by replacing your mass air flow sensor, I was wondering if just buying an Aftermarket air flow sensor/getting a new replacement original sensor for my 2003 3.8L v6 mustang would fix the problem. Would I still have to get it tuned or would it tune itself?

My car has 125000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
