Q: Jeep is not running properly

My problem is when I'm driving I start to lose speed so I step on gas pedal and nothing. My rpm gauge will move but my actually speed doesn't it usually decreases then it will start to spit and sputter as if it was outta gas,but it's at half tank. Really don't know what could be causing this is so lost and frustrated
