Q: Is my blower motor broken?

asked by on January 07, 2017

My AC/heater will not blow on any setting. I have checked fuses, and I don't think it is a fuse as it has been sputtering a bit lately--it stopped working for a few minutes last week, but then it worked the next day, and now it won't work at all. There is some amount of heat coming from the vent, but nothing is blowing. When the car is idling, the RPMs increase when the dial is adjusted, but nothing else happens. It seems that it is trying to turn on but something is out. I think it is either the blower motor or maybe something electrical is coming loose.

My car has 167000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.
