Q: Is it possible to fry a new battery through faulty installation? 2009 Mazda 6

asked by on December 12, 2016

My husband bought a new battery after realizing his old one probably needed replacing. The original battery was 7 years old and stopped working but took a charge when jumped. We figured that we should invest in a new battery because of its age. Howeve, he has been trying for hours to get the car to start with the new battery and nothing has worked. The engine is not making a sound. Is it possible that he damaged the new battery and it will not work now?

My car has 70000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.
