Anti-theft system in 2006 Chevrolet Aveo not turning off
Hi. The key fobs have internal batteries that eventually wear out and must be replaced. Have a mechanic replace the battery (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/key-fob-battery-replacement) and if that doesn't address the problem, I would recommend having a mechanic from Yourmechanic take a look...
Charging issues
You should check to see if the 30 amp fuse is good in the battery junction fuse box fuse number 26. Then check the alternator (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-test-your-alternator_2) to see if you have power to the connector orange and blue wire and...
My car isn't changing gears properly. 2006 Chevrolet Impala
Hello. I would check the transmission fluid level (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/transmission-fluid-service) and condition on the dipstick. If it is low and/or has a burnt smell (transmission fluid should be a reddish color), then you may have a failed transmission. Changing the fluid...

My car won't start - Chevrolet Celebrity
Hello - A bad engine coolant temperature sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/coolant-temperature-switch-sensor-replacement) is a reasonable diagnosis; it could certainly cause the engine to run too rich if it's sending a bad signal to the engine computer. Before purchasing a new temperature sensor, you...
Transmission makes high pitched whistle intermediatly
Hi there. The whistling noise from the transmission could be either a thrust bearing failing or a clutch pack is slipping under certain conditions. First check the fluid to the transmission and make sure that its full and red in...
No codes, vibration at idle
I might recommend using a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank and some Seafoam in the oil. Those together will normally smooth out any rough idle that can be fixed with cleaners.
