Q: Interested in a used 04 Crossfire. 2 accidents, frame damage reported. Would like quote for diagnostics at dealership before I buy

asked by on December 19, 2017

Hi, I'm interested in a used 04 Crossfire. 2 accidents and frame damage reported - I don't know how long ago the accidents were or the extent of the damage "under the hood". The exterior is pretty clean, but I don't want a repair nightmare as soon I start driving around in the car.

I would like a quote to have an expert to come out and run diagnostics on the car at dealership before I buy. Also, at what stage in the process should I have someone come out? Is it normal to put a down payment on the vehicle to hold until I get the results from diagnostics? Or shall I show up to the dealership with down payment in hand and expert on the spot? Thanks in advance guys (or girls)!

My car has 145000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
