Q: In cold weather, car shakes and stalls within minutes unless I begin driving right away

asked by on February 05, 2018

This only began when it became very cold. First thing in the morning, the car shakes a a lot when started and unless I drive right away it will stall and shut off and smell like gasoline. When I drive immediately after start up it stutters and is usually fine after a few miles at a decent speed. If i drive somewhere and park my car for over 5 hours, it will have the same startup issue and shut off.

My car has 104000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
