Q: Intake manifold
the local dealer shop mechanic said the intake manifold needed to be replaced, quoted over $1400. Said wasn't covered by warranty. I told them I couldn't afford, and they wouldn't answer if continuuing to drive would damage engine.
Since I picked car back up, I drove 2 times on Thurs. and 1 time today,. it make a jerking motion, and sounded as if the transmission wasn't properly downshifting.
Again, will it damage the engine if manifold not replaced? and is the quote reasonable?. Online manifold ranges from $350 to a little less than $600. They said parts were $1000
