My car has a manual transmission.

Hi there. You might find this article we’ve written and posted here on our website very helpful in helping to diagnose an intake air temperature sensor. The component is called either an IAT (Intake Air Temperature) or Air Change Temperature (ACT) sensor, but the symptoms are virtually identical. Without being there to inspect your car personally, this is really the best advice we can offer. Thanks.
