Q: I've had two coil packs go out in the last 3 months. My engine is sagging when I slowly accelerate but no check engine code yet.

asked by on July 07, 2017

I have have replaced two ignition coils in the last 3 months. My car has misfired on 2 different cylinders. I noticed this week that when I accelerate slowly my engine will sag or "bounce" at 2500 RPMs but it does not stall out. If I accelerate quickly, it accelerates normally. Is this an indication that another coil is about to go out? Or just the spark plugs?

My car has 223000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
