Q: I tried to jump another car and when I tried to turn mine back on it won't start, it acts like it's going to but don't

I jumped my sisters car, we took the cables off, I turned my car off while she put oil in hers, whenever I tried to start mine it wouldn't, it acts like it's going too but don't, iv had people tell me it's the fuel pump, because last week I ran out of gas, another person said there's a short, that hasn't something to do with the fuses, i had a few blown, and replaced them, and took a tester to all the fuses and one on one side didn't light up, something about an engine relay, it still won't start, lights and everything still work.
My car has an automatic transmission.
