Q: I think somethings wrong with the electrical or a sensor.

asked by on June 18, 2017

Drove less than 2 miles to get gas, tried to start it, it would turn over but not start. Thought maybe battery was dead ,tried to jump it to no avail. Sat maybe 20 minutes waiting on help ,tried to start for kicks ,it started up no problem. Found that when it won't start, if I leave the key in the on position and wait a minute or two, it'll start and run fine. It did this off and on for about 3 weeks until it started stalling while driving (temp, speed and rpm's didn't matter). It doesn't need restarted, it continues on as though nothing happened. During the stall the tac jumps around randomly. It developed a new "symptom". I had to deliver paperwork and left the A/C on. The temp gage read 235 so it was shut off (by the passenger). When I returned a few minutes later, it wouldn't start even after waiting with the key in the on position for a few minutes. It started and ran rough a couple times, it died in reverse and drive. Had to wait for it to cool off before it would run right.

The noise may be the serpentine belt tensioner vibrating, or the front engine damper is broken and causing a noise. If the noise is neither of these components, then an inspection would be needed to see what the possible cause...

Loud cracking noise in the front when turning to the left or to the right, even on stationary.
This sounds like you either have binding sway bar links (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/stabilizer-bar-links-replacement) or arms (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/control-arm-assembly-replacement). Have the sway bar checked and the links checked by putting hand on joint and having someone turn wheel. You will feel the creaking in the...

grinding noise when driving and turning steering wheel
Hi there. What you are describing is commonly associated with damaged or faulty wheel bearings (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-bad-or-failing-wheel-bearings). One warning sign of a wearing out wheel bearing is a loud grinding or roaring sound that comes from the tire area of your...
What cause your RPMs to go up but speed to drop down when putting your foot into the gas padel to accelerate quickly?
The transmission is slipping if the rpms go up and vehicle slows down. You should check the transmission fluid to make sure it is full. If it is full then you have internal transmission problems and should have a transmission...
