Q: I left my car in a garage for 4 days and it seems to have lost all of its power.

asked by on October 18, 2017

I drove my car 4 days ago and left in the garage as usual. Today I went to my car and my car didn't respond to my car keys trying to unlock it. I manually unlock the car to find that nothing turns on. No lights or dash to see. I tried to start the car with no results. I even tried jump starting my car with the help of a friend, but nothing happened. The car battery is only about 3 months old, and I'm not sure what's wrong. I think I might have left a light on but I'm not a hundred percent sure.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Car will not start, unless I move the battery cables. Replaced the terminals already.
If you can move the battery cables around to get your vehicle to start, the battery cables are likely the cause of the problem. Many times, older vehicles can get corrosion (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-clean-battery-terminal-connections-on-a-car) on metal parts. It is possible that the...

My Sebring ill not shift out of drive.
Most vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission, are equipped with shifter inter-lock mechanisms. This prevents the shifter from being moved unless the brake pedal is depressed. A number of things can prevent the shifter from moving. If the brake light...
Continuous camshaft adjustment (LEFT): Incorrect position of the exhaust camshaft (P0025)"
The P0025 code is telling you that the exhaust camshaft timing is running late. This is not necessarily a sensor issue, but more likely a mechanical one. The variable camshaft timing is controlled by a hydraulic device that is part...
Frozen non-drive wheel. Will not turn at all
You won't know until you get the brake caliper off. If it is a brake problem, the caliper will be very difficult to remove but the hub will turn freely after you get it off. That could be a parking...
