Q: I just replaced the front passenger window regulator and motor and it works but only when i am using the rear passenger switch

asked by on May 30, 2017

I recently replaced the front passenger window regulator and motor on my audi s4 b6. The window works but only when I am using the rear passenger switch which moves both the rear and front window. Both the driver control and the passenger control for the front passenger window switch do not work. The switch worked before I replaced the motor and regulator. I checked to see if I crossed the cables but there is only one way to reconnect the electric connectors to the motor so they should be correct. is there anything that would cause this?
My car has an automatic transmission.
