Q: I heard a noise, noticed no oil, pulled over, added 5 quarts of oil, dashboard says no oil
I was driving on the interstate (b4 leaving, we had oil), well I started hearing a noise, sounded like something under the car, I then glanced at my dash board .. no oil , pulled off onto an exit and car died.
added 1 quart of oil (all I had atm), the car cranked up, drove a few mins, car died again .. went and got 4 more quarts of oil, added the oil, went to crank the car, display went up then dropped .. car won't start
I have talked to a couple people who said possible oil pump when out (these are not mechanics, )
deff added oil, but car display says no oil in car .. no oil on ground
