I have Nissan Murano 2009 SL AWD and need your expert advice on getting necessary help. I had noticed the brake/battery light turn on intermittently since last several weeks now and just this morning, I left my engine running for 10 minutes and the care suddenly died on me. When I tried to start, the light would come on, but the car wouldnt start as well as the brake pedal was jammed. I finally had to call road side assistance and they jumpstarted my car. The lights are off now, but the mechanic told I should avoid driving as it might need new alternator. So I called the towing to get it towed and the other guy apparently knew about this issue and check my battery and said everything looks okay except I must have drained my battery. Now I am in dilemma whether it needs a new battery or alternator or nothing as the lights have not come back on and cars running smooth.
My car has 159000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
