Q: I have a ticking noise in the front axle in my 99 Jeep Cherokee 4x4.
I have a ticking noise in my front axle while applying the brakes that slows as the vehicle slows. I could feel it in the break peddle, so I replaced the pads, rotors, and wheel hub / bearings. Still have noise, so I removed the front drive shaft to eliminate the transfer case being the issue. Noise is still there, and need to fix this before it destroys the axle. What now?
