Q: Check engine light - one shop told me it was a knock sensor, and another place told me oxygen sensor 1995 Toyota 4Runner

asked by on December 29, 2016

I'm curious how 2 places using the same device would come up with 2 different error codes for my check engine light, one place said it was a faulty knock censor and quoted me 750 dollars to replace it since it's inside the intake manifold and a lot of labor to replace it, and another place the same day told me it was just a oxygen censor that needed replacing, I need some advice on how to get the correct information, thank you very much.

My car has 182000 miles.
