Q: I have a 2006 GMC Envoy. Makes a race car engine sound and the RPM goes high in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear.
Engine revs high sounding like a race car in the lower gears. I had the tranny checked at GMC, no issues but flushed it. They replaced the cooling fan clutch assuring me that was the issue. It was not, as soon as i drove it off the lot it started back up. I drove it for a week. Tonight i filled the gas tank and it completely stopped. Is this a case of bad gas that lasted through several fill ups or something with the fuel filter? Or something else?
