Q: I have a 2004 Chrysler Concorde. There was a pop when I turned wheel and now wheels won't turn but steering wheel turns.

asked by on February 26, 2018

The car had been wobbling when you turned the steering wheel to the right while driving. A friend looked at it and said it might be Rack and Pinion and Tire Rod. Today while pulling out of my parking space, there was a loud pop and the tires would not turn. I turned the steering wheel all the way to both directions and still nothing. I had to jack up the car and manually shift the tires to get it to steer back into the parking space. When I turn the wheel now, there's still a popping sound but no movement in tires. Please help.

My car has 85000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
