Q: i have a 1998 chevy blazer,2bwheeldrive,4.3engine. put a new fuel pump in it. but very hard to crank,spraygasinbreather,it cranks.

put new fuel pump,yet have to spray gas in breather to crank. will constantly crank but after it sets awhile, wont crank,have to repeat spraying gas in n breather and like i say, will continue to crank after i spray the gas just once it sets over night, it wont crank. any idea what could be the problem? thanking u in advance for ur time
