I have a 1997 BMW 528i that would not start unless jumped . I thought that maybe it could be an electrical issue and still have that idea . I took it to a local shop and the first time they diagnosed it they couldn't find the issue . I then went back every other week and they finally told me that it could be either a bad battery or bad alternator . I then went and purchased a new alternator and new battery and was installed into car . The car didn't crank right away so the mechanics at the shop let the car sit for about 3 days then I took it home and it cranked for about 3 days and now it won't start at all .
My car has a manual transmission.

Typically when all of the gauges on the dash are malfunctioning, it's usually the electrical relay (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-electronic-control-relay) as opposed to a fuse.
