Q: Ignition timing
I have a 1987 automatic ford f150 w/a brand new 302 engine and all new external engine parts. it dies when in drive but not reverse. i have replaced the transmission filter, fuel filter, fuel pumps, MAP sensor, fuel injectors (24lbs) and have no idea what i'm missing at this point. the start is a little hard and i have straight headers on right now. it seems to backfire a little bit but i'm stumped on this one. any ideas on what it could be?
