Q: I had fire under dash Pas. side, need new module?

asked by on

Are used modules worth while or available for 2002 CL500

Hello, there are many different modules under the hood of your Mercedes CL500. Without knowing what all was damaged in the fire I can only offer general advice. Control modules are very sensitive I would not recommend purchasing them used. In addition when vehicle fires occur the wiring can become heavily damaged and until the wiring has been repaired it is impossible to tell which control modules are functioning properly. A qualified Technician such as one from YourMechanic will be able to diagnose your electronic issues and make any repairs required.
