I drive a 2001 Grand Cherokee wj 4.7L.it always shuts down when the fuel level gets to around the 2nd division mark before the E... But on My other grand Cherokee wj the needle gets all the way to the bottom of the E before shutting (which is normal for most cars) I know I still have at least 5 to 10 gallons in the tank when it shuts down so it's really frustrating. Fuel is expensive so I would really like my wj to use up all available gas before shutting down.... Please what's the problem?

My car has 159080 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
