Q: I don’t know if my car has a timing chain or gears

I know the timing is off on my car. I don’t however know what parts to buy because I don’t know if my car has timing gears, a timing belt or timing chain. I plan on y’all doing the work, I just want to buy the parts. Please help me

My car has 171500 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.

The General Motors 2.2 liter 4 cylinder engine comes equipped with a timing chain.
