Q: I can not get my car to start. Please help!

asked by on January 29, 2017

I am going to start out by saying that I am not amazing at understanding and fixing cars. With that in mind within this last month i have replaced a water pump, belt, crank shaft positioning sensor, harmonic balancer and just recently a fuel pump. The trouble started after i replaced my fuel pump. After replacement the car stared right up and ran like a dream. Until 30 min into the drive my speedometer crashed to 0 and the engine just completely died on me, and all it would do is continuously turn over with out starting. I examined the engine and realized my in-line fule pump fuze was blown. I atempted to replace the 20 fuze and all it does is immediately blow on contact. I have examined the wires out of the fuel tank and nothing was pinched. knowing my fuel pump was not engaging i direct lined my fuel pump to my batt, with a toggle switch and have that running with good flow. tonight i just replaced the ecm and still will not start. I dont know what else to do or check I am at a loss
My car has an automatic transmission.
